I like Miele a lot. Check it out. Costco may carry it as well with lower prices.

I read from another forum that Miele is HEPA level-12 certified while Dyson is certified by Asthma Society of Canada to be Asthma & Allergy friendly. Miele seems to be able to filter out finer particles than Dyson,but doesn't look as nice and require continual replacement of bags and filters.
