枫下家园 / 生活杂事 / Need your suggestion. Thanks a lot.My wife got admission from York Univerisity, and it's so hard for her to go to school 'cause we live at Ellesmere/Victoria Park. It's too far and she has some classes in night. So we want to move out to somewhere closer to York, and we found an apartment and I've paid the deposit. But the apartment I am living at now refused us to move out 'cause we just moved in in March. It's less than one year. What should we do? Is subletting the apartment is the only option?

I heard the landlord can sublease it if you give $250. But I did not ask him.

Thanks guys. One of my collegues said there's a lease-breaking fee for many apartment. It's about 200-300, his is 200. But seems this apt doesn't have this kind of fee. After all, does law support this kind of period restriant? That's really anoying.

You must do that. The law always protect the person who has real evidence (the paper).
