我还算好，只是开会。和我一起工作的一个同事这个礼拜每天如此，昨晚出来吃饭的时候都没气儿了。今天凌晨还得3点起床，赶早班飞机来多伦多，干一个白天，今天夜里从10点到明天下午1点有个大型的cutover,然后直接飞波士顿。他定了一晚的酒店，后来才明白根本没时间check-in

是，周三我们和一个在Cisco工作的哥们吃上饭的时候都晚上10点多了。彼此看看都是疲惫不堪。这位兄弟才查出有糖尿病，Cisco工作的哥们今天做手术，就我还算健康。一分析共同特点：都是移民，只能苦哈哈的干活。

我们仨原来都是一个组的。一个是北非的移民，一个是阿尔巴尼亚来的。阿尔巴尼亚的哥们去了Cisco做了CSE,很happy, 但很累，今天做手术，下周就出差。我这位哥们去年离了职，又回来了。如今查出了早期的糖尿病症状，却不能休息。

many times...and same is true to my colleagues... this colleague spent 90 hours this week at work alone...just one week..another colleague spent extra 200 hours between Dec and Jan...

It’s always a trade off. Money, status, recognitions, satisfactions… I am happy that I did it only a few years for an employer in that type of business. Endless travel, endless engagement, endless deadlines and endless exploitation.

I see. I don't want to change the subject. However, it looks like you have reached your career peak - which is a sad fact everyone of us has to face eventually.Your newly started gripe is not really about the long hours and inadequate compensation. It is about a state of mind that you don't have a good alternative. I apologize if I read you wrong.

Wow, that some long hour..., i had to stay late yesterday for one more to finish up some important paperwork , I asked my boss to give a day off in lieu..., have not heard back from him but i guess it never hurts to ask
