我公婆的探亲签证９月底到期，想提前给他们办续签，可发现他们的护照明年４月底就到期了。对于７个月后即将到期的护照，移民局是否还会给续签？还是就给不超过护照到期日的签证？谢谢。

请问有谁知道中国护照到期前多久才可以申请新护照？公婆的护照还有9个月才到期，可是按楼上所说，希望能拿到新护照再去申请延期。打了若干电话给大使馆，都没人接电话。

我们差不多是提早了八九个月去续的，问都没问就给办了。我觉得虽然规定是6个月内，但是掌握起来是灵活的。

My friend told me that Chinese embassy will not issue new passport if visa expire ealy. Can you please confirm?My mom have the same situation as Purplecrystal's parents. Her visa will expire in November and her passport will expire in March 2011. My friend told me that Cinese embassy will not issue new passport if visa expires. I hope that it is not true. Did you know anyone renew the passport successfuly recently in such situation?

the Consulate won't give you renew if less than 6 months; the extension won't beyond your passport expiry date.
