Initiated by Tennis Canada and Mississauga Little Aces Tennis Community, two new sessions of community team tennis will be offered at the Ontario Racquet Club from January 13 to April 21. This is an exciting tennis program that provides participants to the game of tennis an opportunity to combine practice and play, with a focus on skill development through match play. The minor league promotes a game-based approach to stimulate and maintain excitement and enjoyment for young participants.
Only two spots left. Register at the Ontario Racquet Club front desk (884 Southdown Road).
Program Details:
ORC Minor League (1/2 court; ages 6-9) - Full, on waiting list only
ORC Minor League (3/4 court; ages 8-11) - 2 spots left
Participants practice and play matches on 3/4 court with low-compression orange balls (faster than red balls), in a friendly, learner-based team environment similar to the soccer house league model. Players must have a minimal level of skill, but be able to exchange the ball over the net at least 4 times on a 3/4 court. Registration includes a team t- shirt and an awards banquet with pizza lunch. Bring your own racquet.11-Week session. $150/members; $150/non-members.
