My parents have received their temporary visas to Canada, now they are buying one-way flight ticket from a ticket agency in China. But the agency asked them if their visas are allowed them to get on board with one-way tickets. They said if not they may get rejected to get on board. Does anybody have same experience as this? Whom to ask this question, Canadian embassy or Chinese custom?

Round trip ticket is much cheaper. And you can have the return trip open. Why would you buy one way ticket?

But they can't decide how long they're going to stay . It could be a year or two, but the maximum time window for a roud trip ticket is a year, isn't it?

There won't be a problem with a one-way tickets when they're on board. Just tell the custom officer that their child (You) will pay for the back tickets.
