本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛What I want to talk about today is "Dare to speak". In fact, any language is a communication tool. We have to make it work for ourselves. Most importantly you must speak up at the critical point of the time. Do not miss the chance because of worrying about your grammar errors or misuse of words. Do not miss the chance because of worrying about your grammar errors or misuse of words.
Especially when you are at work during a meeting somebody transfers responsibility to you or speaks on your behalf you must speak up. At this time if you choose to keep silent because you worry about your oral English, you will regret. Time is not waiting for you. Unfair rules have been made and history has been written. The consequence may be cruel to you. However at this point even if you make a sneeze others turn their faces to you and history slows down its pace, then you have chance to change it!
Do not worry about people misunderstand you. Even if you disorderly utter those words followed by explanations people do understand. The important thing is when you do this you still have chance to change something.
Certainly you are the best if you can speak fluently with sterling accent. However keeping silent because of imperfect expression leads to giving up your rights.
Many locals have grammar errors in their oral English, so do we when we speak our tongue language. Does that impair your convincibility?
Do not worry. Speak up! You can!
