Just want to share my story here with all and sorry for my work place do not allow me to input Chinese.
My wife and I immigrated to Canada 7 years ago, we suffered the bad recession when we 1st arrived (Un-employment ratio is above 10%). We both went to school at that time. I located a job at Bank after I finished my school and my wife found a job at the States. After 911, my wife was laid off and she came back to Canada. We decided to open our own business. One of my high school classmate wanted to join us (he has been on the labor market for almost 2 years; he is a civil engineer when he was at China). So my wife and decided to go for something bigger (First of all, we decided to buy a grocery store). We bought a Coffee Time at the end of June, “My friend” told us he found a job (Which is related to his major) 2 days after we took over the store. My wife and I were shocked and angered at the first place (He said he got an interview at the Saturday, June 29, and we just took over the store at June 28, 2002). We felt some kind of betraying from a person you have known for almost 20 years. So my wife and I decided to buy him out and paid all the money (The money for buying the store) back to him in the 2nd day. But the worst thing came after, 2 weeks later, my wife was found pregnant. I am happy for the coming baby but this is really a bad timing. My wife miscarried twice before and the doctor told us if she miscarries again, there will be less opportunity for us to have a baby. So we decide to let go my store after we found out she was not in a good sharp. But you know it is not too easy to sell a business especially when you just take over. We are struggling and struggling. I spent the most of my free time at store to try to help her out.
We both caught the cold 2 days ago, sign; I really don’t what this kind of life will be ending up with…???
Does anyone else have the same experience? I really don’t want to public a story like this to ruin your time, just can not help myself.
I love my wife and the up coming baby, just way to worry about them.
Ever since we don’t have too much time to put on my store, the management over there is bad and the inventory control is bad. We had to pay more for the salary….
There never be a bad business, there only be a bad business man. I guessed I am the bad business? Can anybody tell me what else I can do and who can I trust?
