本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛4.

5. 尽量不要说任何过去任职公司, 老板,同事及所做工作negative的话, any negative expression could be interpreted as potential personality problem.

6. 面试前仔细看job description, 越是对方强调的 (most of the time it is something used on daily bases), 如果一点都没用过, 千万不要说have lots of experience, or no problem.

Do you have experience of design/create/use…? The next will be “Please describe how you designed/created/used..”

What do you know about our company…” 是想知道if you really interested in working here, how serious you are, and if you are a responsible person…

Anyway, I just have 2 weeks of experience as an interviewer, looking at things from a different angle. Hope the big guys constantly interviewing other people could share more.

    ...
Will add more as I gain more experience.
    • Good posting.. please keep adding some more .. thanks
      • Well, I never cared about the last 2 either until now. Just saw 1 of the applicants was screened out because the other interviewers said "he did not even do his homework", which referred to "了解申请的职位和公司,organization 的情况"
    • show your confidence is the most important
        • You don't have to be an expert on everything in order to have confidence. Even a child should have self esteem and confidence.
          • The questions vicky2005 mentioned are good ones.
People also asked questions like the work flow, technical questions, how soon they would hear from the interviewers. These are all ok. There are even people asking about salary range at the end who was screened out right away. So this is a no no question.
        • Yes, if the interviewee can reach this level, he will definitely stand out.
      • Trust me, its not that pleasant.
      • Very good point. I kept saying "good", "very good" during the interviews. You never know you may work with 1 of those guys in the future.
      • It's almost impossible to fully understand the role before the interview. A lot of time, employers are looking for the best fit rather than the best technical or most knowledgeable person.
So, don't be upset if you didn't get the job, you are just not the right fit.
        • It depends on how you understand job requirements. If you have a solid technical backgroud that coverages all required skills & a good communication skill and also are a very easy to go person, you will be the person who are "the best fit" one.
    • Wow, didnt expect to see so many replies. Just had another interview this afternoon, and a debate with my boss about a Chinese guy i do not even know, guess i was out of my mind. But finally he got the ticket to the 2nd interview!
Will share more after my kid goes to sleep
      • Do you clearly know what your boss is looking for?
        • The answer is yes.
