1. Where are your parents living. If they live in Shanghai or near Shanghai, they can apply visit visa from Shanghai Consulate.

2. The expiring date of the visit visa is 3-6 months depands when your parants plan to visit Canada. (note: the expiring date of the visa is the date your parents must landing ).
3. When the visa is issued, the expiring date can't be changed. Unless you apply for the new visa.
4. You can download the chinese application form and instruction from the web site of Shanghai Consulate. The link is:
