I was told to call the local police station. In fact, I did. It's still makes me laugh when I recall about it.

I talked with a police officer first, and told him that I am looking for informations about the criminal rate in his area. And the office asked me why I need this information, and I told him that I was considering buying a house in that area. He suggested that I should talk to a Mr. Surgent. So I left a message on the Surgent's voice mail. He did call me back, I got into the same conversation as I had with the police officer again, the surgent was very nice, but when it's come to the point that whether the criminal rate in his charge area was like, his word was turned into totally politician answer. I tied to dig word from his mouth, but without any luck.

I guess I was silly enough to call the police office, and the Surgent was surprise that somebody would actually had a such interesting conversation with him. But still it is not like that I didn't get anything out of the Surgent, he would not have to hesitate to tell me that his area was nicer and safer if it is true, would he?

那里不是有报案数嘛。53区一年是6900多件。最少的是21区，4000多件(但有3起一级谋杀)，最要命的是52区，27000多件，和别的地方比，倍数的关系。51区和52区的谋杀案最多，一级谋杀分别为7起和6起。 -bluej(小J); 2002-4-22 (#474906@0)

Thank you. The most expensive house are in division 32, along Baybiew, but when you look at the total criminal, it not among the lowest. My neighbour tell me that the city has the so called Integration plan, it means -ingridchao(Ingrid); 2002-4-22 {253} (#474958@0)
the city will build homes for low-income family in the middle-to-high income neighbourhood to keep balance. I guess if we are looking for really peaceful low criminal place, we have to move far away from the big city and settle in small and quiet town.
