I came to Canada directly for a 4 year undergraduate degree, I only got 1 year advanced standings, that means I have to study for another 3 years to get the 4 year degree.
It took me five years from an international student to a permanent resident. The way there was too harsh, As I looked back, it was really pains taking. So you get to be well prepared!
One other option is to study here for a master degree, kinda of a saving money way, and it is only 2 years( fast), Maybe less than 2 years if you take courses in summer, and 25 pts for immigration education part. I was only awarded 20 pts for my 4 year undergraduate degree. (only equals to the pts of a 2 year college diploma in skilled worker education part points)
Good luck!
