本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Assuming you do not have difficulties with English you should apply to an University directly, transfering from a College to an University will sabotage the amount of credits your've earned in Centennial. For example, the 3 intermediate accounting courses may not grant you any transfer credits to intermediate accounting at University level.
Since you just want to get a Bachelor degree in Accounting, have you ever considered Colleges' bachelor degrees in Accounting? Currently, there are 2 Colleges in Ontario that offers Bachelor of Applied Business in Accounting: 1)George Brown's Bachelor of Applied Business Major in Accounting 2) Seneca College's Bachelor of Applied Business in International Accounting and Finance.
Good things about those degrees:
1)Both of these degrees satisfy CGA's degree requirement. With completion of any of those degrees with grades of C+ (65%) in CGA equivalent studies, you will be entered into the final level of CGA program.
2) Colleges is more flexible on admission; therefore, your diploma from China might grant you some transfer credits.
3) It has a mandatory co-op term where students work for the Summer and gain experiences. Currently in Canada, employers are more concerned with personality and experiences rather than academics.
Here are some drawbacks for getting thsoe degrees:
1) You cannot apply to a Master program with Applied degrees; however, things are changing, in the near future as Applied degrees gain more recognitions you may apply to Master programs. Colleges have articular agreements with some University to allow their Applied degree holders to enter University's Master program.
2) You pay the same amount for these degrees as if they are University degrees. In other words, you pay what University students pay for their programs.
3) As a gradaute of Seneca's Acocunting and Finance program, there are ton of assignments, group projects and tests. It got me crazy and lost a lot of hair. My program is just a diploma program, imagine the workload in the Applied degree program. All that hard work and you are being looked down because you gradauted from a College instead of a University (just my and some others opinion).更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
