You've just graduated from China with a Bachelor of Law without any practical experiences? Canada's Law school may function differently compare to China.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛In order to get into a Law school and enrol in the Bachelor of Law program most applicants already have a Bachelor degree from other area. You cannot apply directly to law school straight from high school. In rare situations, Law school might accept some applicants with only 2 years of undergraduate experiences.

Normally, getting into a Master of Law program (LLM) requires the applicant to have at least a Bachelor of Law (LLB). If your degree is not Bachelor of Law, you may not meet the normal application criteria. If your Bachelor degree was not granted from a Professional Law School in China, then it's not considered to be Canadian LLB. Other degrees are not Law degrees for example: Bachelor of Art Major in Law or Bachelor of Science majored in Law.

Unlike Accounting, Law is very strict in Canada, becuase your degree is from China, and Canada has different sets of Laws. Most of the time, foreign countries do not share the same ethical values. What I am trying to say is that, even if your degree is a Bachelor of Law and granted from a professional law school, it may not be deemed as Canadian LLB. Here is another example, LLB obtained from Canada is not recognized in the USA. That is why many Law schools in Canada have joint degress LLB/JD. JD=Juris Doctor a law degree in the US.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
