You can apply OSAP when you are receiving EI - if you are a sole support parent or married you may still get some funding. you will need to provide a letter from ei

But you should ask your EI counsellor about full time study first; usually ei benefit would not be cut off, but you have to provide very strong reason to your counsellor about why you wanna take the training and how you manage your time to look for jobs at the same time during the EI period. sometimes, it is depending on your counsellor. And also, usually what they do is to suggest you to apply the training funding from SERVICE CANADA or study part time (max around 15hrs/week) instead of OSAP.

    EI要到明年1月才结束，可是college是9月开学，申请OCAS时是否有影响（因为一直有incoming）。这种情况如何通知HRDC？我是每2周通过Internet向HRDC报告，其中有一项是问是否参加过training以及每周training的小时数。我是否可以在这一项里HRDC报告就可以了，然后我的EI就会被停止，等毕业后，如果暂时没有找到工作，EI还可以继续吗？

            • 那就看你具体的经济情况了，如果存款和/或rrsp很多，恐怕就贷不到什么，如果只有ei的收入，可以跟他们仔细谈，先贷点够学费的（他们可能会直接转到学校），然后等ei被cut了，再加些钱 -genie(还行); 2006-9-7 (#3192215@0)

          我记得申请OSAP的时候有一栏就是问开学前的总收入, EI应该也是收入. 至于开学后LZ还是如实申报停止领取EI为好, 免得造成将来不必要的麻烦.
