I checked my status online and saw they sent me two letters in Oct'04 and Feb'05, after the ack letter. Since I only received one, I called cic this morning. I got the reply that they only sent me one letter in Jan'05, and doing background check right now. The online status check is not accurate as I thought.

BTW, does anyone know how long it takes to finish a background check, and what do they check for? My background was checked when I applied for immigration, and have no ideal what the background stands for.
