ARCHITECT -PART 4 (EXTRA)

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Internationally-trained Professionals (ITP) Survey

As part of an ongoing initiative to assist internationally-trained professionals integrate into the architectural profession in Ontario, the OAA' s Internationally-trained Professionals Task Group has developed a survey for individuals trained and/or qualified as architects outside of Canada or the USA. All levels of government and OAA Council have identified the integration of ITPs into the regulated professions as a high priority. The Report Succeeding by Design: A Perspective on Strengthening the Architectural Profession in Ontario and Canada by the McGill Business Consulting Group, and commissioned by the OAA, projected that there will be a shortage of architects by 2007. ITPs may help to fill that shortage and bring to Canada a wide range of skills that can assist Ontario practices to be competitive in a global economy.

The OAA is requesting that anyone trained as an architect outside Canada or the USA, including OAA members, Intern Architects, and Students complete the survey.

If any OAA members or Intern Architects know any ITPs trained as architects but who may not be associated with the OAA or employed in the architectural profession, please let them know about this OAA initiative.

The survey will be posted on the OAA Web site until October 8, 2004. All survey information is confidential and only the aggregate results of the survey will be published by the OAA later in 2004.
