    • I'd say Cape Breton National park is the most beautiful place to visit in the east(1+ day). You can forget Kejimkujik National park if time is an issue. -apuma(apuma); 2004-8-3 (#1827132@0)

        • That 100km road has tons of look-outs. You can hiking, whale-watching in a small fishing boat or in the middle of the montain(don't forget to bring a telescope; many whales playing); -apuma(apuma); 2004-8-4 {773} (#1829505@0)
          The road will climb to the top of two 800m montains where you'll find an excellent view of the Atlantic. Camping site in east camp ground is always available.
          Pls note when going down, the speed limit is 20km, so you need to switch to gear 1. The warning is, after you go down and want to switch to D, just push the stick, don't press the release button. Otherwise you may accidently push it all the way to R. Practice a few times when the car is not moving is helpful.
          I have a few NS travel guides. Each year the cover page is always Cape Breton. Before I went there, many friends recommended that it's the No.1 place to visit in the east. They are right.
          HWY No2 between Grand Falls and Fredericton, and HWY 1 from Saint John to Sussex is also very beautiful.
