The list of documents required for Schengen visa at German Consulate:

honigmuemueli(Honigmuemueli)

* Two sets of application form (downloadable fm Internet) with two passport photos
*Invitation Letter or Hotel Reservation
*Employment Letter with your salary indicated
*Travel Insurance (Copy of your company's benefit brochure for the related coverage suffices)
*Bank Statement (optional)
*Passport and Mapleleaf Card (Duh! we know this part!!!)
*Air ticket (Copy of the itinerary usually works at German Consulate whereas French Consulate demands the original air ticket)
*Extra notes: If you are to stay in multiple Schengen countries for the same length, it is enforced to apply for the visa at the consulate of the country which is your FIRST border of entry. Otherwise, apply at the consulate whose country is your main destination. German consulate handles visa application for Austria as well.
