General speaking, you normally need to stop at Cleveland, Houston or Newwark if you fly with Continental. Pittsburgh if that is US air. Detroit if NW. Chicago if AA. Check the total flying time to see which one is better for you.

American West is good low fare airline. its hubs are Phoniex and Vegas.

Air Canada would be better than all above airlines in terms of the flying time. You might not get cheaper things online. But some travel agent can get deeper discount for some nonrefundable and nonchangable tickets.
