Universal Studio, LA town tour(tentative), LA night(tentative) (26 miles, 30 minutes)

Another theme Park, tentative
Santa Monica Beach, (40 miles, 1 hour)
Late Evening -- drive to Las Vegas (270 miles, 4 hours)

Day 6 ----
Las Vegas

Day 7 ----
Drive to LA, take flight to SF, SF city tour
Night -- stay with Friends. No Friends? Hostel/Motel

      2. Stay in the hotel in downtown LA is not a good idea. there are many cheaper hotels around Disney Land.3. Santa Monica beach in LA is also an interesting place to see. A lot of street show. 4. Nothing needs to be seen in LA downtown. I did not see the tour plan of Hollywood Blvd. Sunset Blvd. UCLA. 5. You probably wouldn't like to drive 570 miles twice.
