Jabber's English Note--A mixed feeling

Recently, one of my co-workers submitted a resume toour manager for a Principal Software Engineer position. After the interview, we thought the guy is good and ask for our co-worker's opinion. His words really surprised us: For this guy, I have a mixed feeling. Technically, I think he is fine and he is a smart guy in any case. However, I submitted his resume simply because he asked me to do so. When we worked together for our previous employer, I was his team leader. He often bypassed me and our manager and report ed things directly to a VP. Our manager is a nice guy and tolereated his misconduct. Indeed, our team needs skillful people like him. But I am really concerned whether he could fit into the team.

If we spare some time to reflect, we will find out that we have mixed feelings towards a lot of people and things.
