My Co-op started from 2th July.

Then just let our immigrants know your teacher Lydia, not other teachers. Those teachers got paid according to the placement rate in their class. In my class, everybody got placement, but I think over 50% not satisfied, some of them quitted. Some placement companies like HP, they just give you placement, never hire you, do not pay you some transportation fee, but you worked absolutely harder than those workers there. My teacher still place us to those companies, even when they know some of those companies only like placement workers without pay. And I know my teacher will place her new class students to HP again.
One of my friends studied at Dundas Co-op, only 2 of his classmates got contracts. We finished this co-op in September. Before the presentation to her new class, (last friday). I told her I am still working as an volunteer in a IT company, you know what she told me????
"Do NOT Tell Them You Are VOLUNTEER" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        I like the way they place and followup you in a company. I was one of students from there and got a paid job from the same company after finishing the coop. Also many of classmates got paid jobs from the their cocompanies after finishing coop.

          I was just graduated from that school, in my class, 29 persons, only 5 persons got contract or employeed. None of them are chinese. Who are you?

            I finished the class in July. The teacher was Lydia. In my class, there were 19 students, 12 of them were chinese students. 7 chinese students found jobs. 7 non-chinese students got hired too. Occupations of the seven chinese students who got jobs are: Mechanical engineering(6) and System administrator(1).

                近况如何呀？我正在Dufferin-peer上课，可能也会被弄到HP去，这么说一定不能去了。请问你所知道的人都去做什么？我去做Web，今天面试的时候听说有不少Volunteer在那里做，看来是没机会呀！请问还有那些公司不能去？不想白白浪费十几周时间。

                  Here what I can only tell you is, if you just want to have a canadian experience here, then go to HP, or some famous companyies here; if you want to have the opportunity to get hired, then go to find companies not so many co-op workers there.
                  By the way, I am a lady. :-P

      Two was from NOW ( one majored in architecture, one in IT- system Admin; both in 2001). one was from Yorkdale co_op, he's major in chemical(?) in 2001. 3 guys from Mississauga co_op, in chemical(?) in 2002. I think the co_op just give you a samll chance to get hired. anyway it is better than nothing. that's why they are still so hot.
