It's just turning switch. Don't know what exact temperature difference.

There were noise before, however it never stopped recently. Do it mean the temperature control unable to stop the motor or compressor?

you will have to experiment different scenarios, I would assume. temp control appears to be the easiest to replace to to test it out at first.

You might be right. Set to Factory Setting so far, noise stopped after a while.
